Calling all girls and young women, grades 4 – 12! St. Margaret’s will host its 3rd annual Girls in STEAM Symposium on Saturday, March 2, 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. Expanded to a full day this year, Girls in STEAM is designed to ignite passions for STEAM fields and explore areas of studies and career avenues through workshops, keynote speakers and panel discussions. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in design challenges, mini hack-a-thon, an escape room, and connect with a larger community of female role models in the STEAM fields. If you are or know a bonafide STEAM girl, or one who just wants to learn more about science, technology, engineering, arts and math, please plan to attend this action-packed, fun-filled day of hands-on activities and connecting with inspiring STEAM women! We are also looking for STEAM leaders to participate in the Symposium! Girls in STEAM 2019 is open to girls from the Southern California region! Click here for more information and to register. Please contact St. Margaret’s STEAM Fellow Dr. Jennifer Ross-Viola with any questions.
