You are invited to the SCAAPT Fall Meeting held on Saturday, October 19 at Santa Monica College. 
The meeting will feature exciting invited talks from the following:

Chuhee Kwon (CSU Long Beach) will present materials from the Get the Facts Out campaign toward changing the conversation about STEM teaching careers.

Scott Fraser (Long Beach CC) will discuss the underwater robotics program at Long Beach City College

Laura Tucker (UC Irvine) will introduce the work she has done in peer mentoring at UC Irvine

Patrick Lincoln (ScientistsWarning.org) will present “The Physics of Global Warming and Positive Feedback Loops”

Along with a wide array of contributed talks from fellow SCAAPT members, Show-and-Tell your favorite physics demos, the World Famous Order of Magnitude contest (“How many atoms of Carbon are in all of the statues in the United States?”) and much more.

Please RSVP and make your make your lunch orders, lunch orders need to be received by Tuesday 10/8. If not enough people sign up by Tuesday, lunch will be on your own at local restaurants (suggested options will be provided)
