The Department of Physics at Loyola Marymount University seeks a tenure track Assistant Professor in experimental physics starting Fall 2020. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Physics or closely related discipline at the time of employment. We welcome applications from any experimental field in physics, but we are especially interested in candidates working in quantum computation, climate science, or condensed matter systems.

The successful candidate will be expected to develop a research program in their field that can involve undergraduate student participation. The successful candidate will also teach undergraduate physics courses at all levels, as well as contribute to the University Core through first year seminars or courses for non-majors. All faculty are expected to contribute to service at the Department, College, and University levels. The Department of Physics houses eight full-time faculty, whose research interests include biophysics, space physics, gravitation and cosmology, medical imaging, and physics education.

Additional information and the online application can be found at <http://jobs.lmu.edu/postings/41893>. For full consideration, completed applications should be received by December 31st 2019.
